Relax with the sights and sounds of country life... lots of real wild flowers to look at… maybe a couple of chickens in the hen house with a rooster to wake you up in the morning… a cow or two with a calf grazing in the meadow or the hill in front of you. Depending on the season, you might experience a few piggies in the pig sty getting ready for the fall butchering holidays, some country cured ham for the Christmas and New Years Holidays or maybe if a winter retreat is your taste, some snow covered hills beside the wood stove and some really good sled riding. Take a car ride out over the top of the Shade Mountain and see Mt. Pisgah Alter, with its beautiful mountain top vistas and enjoy the spectacular views of the Juniata Valley. Or you can visit Lost Creek Trout Nursery and see plenty of native species fish.
